A GREAT TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!
Ruth Elliott shared tips on drawing from See What You're Looking At, to 600 students in one day recently. The kids enjoyed it so much that everyone wanted to learn more. The First Art Textbook to reference the CA Math Standards is so popular now, we need to print more books!
Students were surprised to learn how simply you can express emotions in the eyes.
Students expressed what they were learning about how body language expresses emotions too.
No one was bored. They all got to draw along with Ruth!
What a treat it was so see class after class enjoy learning tips on drawing - 600 students in one day.
Children commented on what they thought was the reason ART exists in the world.
Turning basic 2D shapes into the illusion of 3D on a flat piece of paper was so much fun.Afterwards they got to watch some videos from our character building series:
In ALL THE TURNS ARE TAKEN, students learned what happens to greedy chickens!
In The Night Princess they experienced why we should treat everyone with kindess.
And in the Shellwizzes, an endearing adventure of three baby brothers facing terror, abandonment and even a little embarrassment, they find that everything comes out all right in the end!
